Metro East crowned 14 Girls State Title Champions

Met-East-14-Girls

It was a tournament to remember for coach Andrew Morris and his 16 young rising footballers as Metro East were crowned 14 Girls State Title Champions after a week-long tournament at Valentine Sports Park concluded on Friday.

Met East proved too strong for their opponents as they topped their group followed by Tom Milicevic’s Met North.

In the Country Championship, Western NSW had a fantastic tournament as Meaghan Kempson’s troops powered through with a memorable first place finish followed by Southern NSW.

The Regions that competed in the week long tournament were:

METRO/NORTH (Gladesville-Hornsby, North West Sydney Women & Manly-Warringah)
METRO/SOUTH (Bankstown, Macarthur, Southern Districts)
METRO/WEST (Blacktown, Granville (including Hills), Nepean)
METRO/EAST (Canterbury, Eastern Suburbs, St George)
METRO/FAR NORTH (Northern Suburbs and Central Coast)
METRO/FAR SOUTH (Football South Coast and Sutherland)
COUNTRY/RIVERINA
COUNTRY/SOUTHERN
COUNTRY/WESTERN

Congrats to both Met East and Western NSW on job well done.
