Dr Craig Duncan on Parenting of the Youth Football Player
Tuesday the 29th of October 2019 at 7.30 pm tune in to Football NSW’s Facebook page to hear and participate in a special Dr Craig Duncan presentation.
Dr Craig is one of the world’s foremost experts in high performance football having spent several years with the Socceroos and a number of Hyundai A-League clubs. He was a member of Ange Postecoglou’s staff when the Australian team won the 2015 Asian Cup and also went to the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the Socceroos. His most recent football position was as a member of the Iranian team under Carlos Queiroz at the 2019 Asian Cup.
One of his specialist areas and a personal focus of his is in the role of parents in supporting their footballing child. Several weeks ago, Dr Craig presented to a sold out audience on the topic ‘Parenting of the Youth Football Player’. During the presentation, Dr Craig spoke on a number of broad topics including diet, sleep, rest and recovery, the importance of other sports, social media and so on.
The evening is specifically targeted to parents of players 10-18 years of age at any level of the game and Dr Craig will be online to provide viewers with the opportunity to ask questions. Young players are also encouraged to watch and to hear from someone who has guided and supported many A-League players and Socceroos.
