Mountain Majik v Boomerangs FS

It’s a big match brewing when Mountain Majik host Boomerangs FS at Blacktown Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Boomerangs need a win to stay in touch with the top-four, which happens to include Mountain Majik; but first things first, the Territorians would dearly just love to get the travelling bug off their back [most likely so this reporter stops bringing it up!] – a runaway league-record 16 successive away matches without a win.

Ironically, this season’s pacesetters Mascot hold the next two worse runs of 11 (2013/14-2014/15) and 10 (2016/17-2017/18).

The Territorian-Mountaineer rivalry is fascinating! They’ve only met in premier league every third year with traded wins in 2013/14 followed by crazy 4-4 and 3-3 draws in 2016/17. What does 2019/20 have in store?

UTS Northside v Inner West Magic

UTS Northside have their hands full when they meet Inner West Magic at PCYC Dee Why on Saturday afternoon.

Inner West are on a roll and parked in second spot behind Mascot. They might be without the services of their Futsalroo personnel but they certainly have depth, and plenty of young talent too.

Northside also have a bright youth brigade but while they’ve been great on the road they’ve lost their last four home games to be left dangling on the top-four edge.

Magic have won eight of their 10 UTS encounters but every game has been separated by three goals or less and usually tight scorelines – both sides have only reached five goals in a contest once each.

Eastern Suburbs Hakoah v Enfield Allstars

It’s a Saturday-night blockbuster as defending champs Enfield Allstars line up against title dark-horses Eastern Suburbs Hakoah at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday evening.

After a shaky double-loss to start the summer Enfield have finally started looking like finals contenders but face an Easts side that can longer hide in the shadows themselves.

With last year’s inconsistent debut season fading fast in the rearview mirror Hakoah have broken through with three wins from the opening five weekends, and their two defeats were by a solitary goal – they spell trouble with a capital ‘T’.

Allstars won both last season’s meetings but what odds for a different result this time?

Mascot Vipers v Campbelltown Quake

It’s chalk and cheese when unbeaten leaders Mascot Vipers play win-less Campbelltown Quake at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday night.

Mascot are riding high on top of the table with a club-best five-match undefeated sequence to start the summer. They’ve got comp-high-scorer Bruno Mendes in red-hot form and currently seem unstoppable.

Campbelltown have been great value despite five-straight losses, pushing all their opponents without reward.

Quake head Mascot 11-4 on the historical count (three draws) with Danny Martinez (15 goals) and Mark Symington the chief Vipers’ destroyers.
