NSW Win Again at SSA Championships

The 2019 School Sport Australia National Football Championships were held at Moreton Bay Sports Complex, Burpengary, Queensland from 14-20 September as both the 16 Years and Under NSW Boys and the 18 Years and Under NSW Girls were again National Champions.

The Boys won all five games with a positive goal difference of sixteen. The second place team on the table was Victoria and they were beaten 7-3 in the second round. Eleven of the eighteen members of the All Australian Squad, selected from the carnival, were from NSW. The Player of the Tournament was Ben Gibson from NSW. The Girls won four games and drew one, conceding only one goal in the tournament and finishing four points clear of the second-placed state. Twelve members of the Girls team were selected in the All Australian Squad. The Player of the Tournament was Molly Arens from NSW, the second year in a row that Molly has achieved this honour.
