National Indigenous Football Championships kick off with a bang
The 2019 National Indigenous Football Championships kicked off at the South Nowra Football Complex on a sunny Thursday as both the All Age Men and Women competitions took centre stage.
Some fantastic free flowing football was played on opening day by all teams from different tribes across the nation as the All Age Men competition saw its four groups in action while the women saw similar action in two of its groups.
Friday 1st of November will see the remaining competitions take place with the Under 14 Boys and Girls as well as the highly anticipated Elders Walking Football match happening at 11:30am.
The Championships have been a huge hit thus far with the locals at Nowra while a number of Football NSW and FFA staff members have been in attendance assisting in the running of the competitions.
