Southern Districts FA continues its healthy school’s engagement

It has been yet another busy year for the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association as they’ve continued on with its healthy engagement with the 40 plus local schools within their area handing out over two thousand medals for both sporting and academic excellence.

An initiative introduced by Southern Districts Football Association Technical Director Rod Galic in 2014, the engagement has seen the association promote a healthy balance between academic and sporting success.

Galic in particular played a pivotal role in getting this off the ground in 2014 when the board agreed to sponsor the idea by supplying medals to local schools at their end of year assemblies.

The schools openly accepted the initiative which rewarded sporting success in any field while also maintaining education at the top of each pupil’s development.
