Develop Self, Develop Others – Regional Coaching Conference 2020
Football NSW and Football Victoria are delighted to announce that we will be collaborating to deliver the inaugural Regional Coaching Conference to be held on Saturday 22nd February at Boomers Football Club, Albury.
Practical sessions will be completed by staff from the Football NSW and Football Victoria Technical Departments and will cover a wide range of topics and themes and full attendance at the day earns participants 30 points towards their FFA accreditation as per the new AFC Coaching Convention.
Football NSW Technical Director Mens & Boys Warren Grieve stated his delight in bringing this event to life.
“This event is a great showcase of two Member Federations working in tandem to support coaches within the regional football community.
“At Football NSW, we are striving to ensure that coach development is accessible to the thousands of coaches across our state and following on from the back of our most successful State Coaching Conference at Valentine Sports Park held this month, it will be great to take the concepts from this conference to our regional members.”
The Regional Coaching Conference for 2020 will be a pilot program for Football NSW to see if there is a demand for this type of event within the regional football community and if successful, will see these delivered across different regional areas in the future.
Football Victoria’s Technical Director Boris Seroshtan was equally thrilled to be offering this opportunity to its regional coaches.
“This will be the first time that coaches from both regional and rural New South Wales and Victoria take part in a learning environment together.
“It’s a great initiative by Football NSW and Football Victoria to ensure coaches from both states get access to the latest trends and key learnings in coach development.”
Football NSW and Football Victoria would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Football Federation Australia Coach Development Department for helping both federations bring this exciting concept to life.
