Sydney set to host 2020 Maso Cup
The 2020 edition of the Maso Cup returns to Sydney after two years on the road.
Following successful tournaments in both Melbourne and Canberra, the Cup returns to Sydney over the Australia Day long weekend with teams competing in the following divisions:
- Mens Open
- Mens division B
- Over 35 mens
- Womens
- Under 20 men
- Under 16 boys
- Under 14 boys
Games are scheduled across the weekend as follows:
Friday 24 January – launch and first games from 6pm @ Ilinden Sports Centre- 468 West Botany Street, Rockdale
Saturday 25 January- games from 9am at both Jensen Park, Sefton and O’Neill Park, Yagoona
Sunday 26 January- games from 9am at the Ilinden Sports Centre
Monday 27 January- finals at Jensen Park.
In previous tournaments, there has been a gate entry charge.
In 2020, the co-hosts, Rockdale Ilinden Football Club and Bankstown City Lions have decided to waive any gate entry and instead we ask all patrons to make a donation towards our joint NSW Bushfire Relief. There will be people at both venues with collection buckets with all proceeds to be donated to this worthy cause.
