Football NSW clubs NWS Spirit FC and NWS Koalas in conjunction with North West Sydney Football  were on hand recently to further promote the recent Australia/New Zealand FIFA Women’s World Cup bid for 2023.

Over the past week, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney have played host to the traveling FIFA contingent.

During the inspection visit, the delegation heard how the Australia and New Zealand bid will deliver technical excellence at every level.

Australia and New Zealand’s sport-mad and culturally diverse populations will ensure full stadia for every game and a record 1.5million spectators.

The marketing promotion titled “As One” was a smash hit with the many that attended the launch.

Both NWS Spirit FC and NWS Koalas demonstrated to the FIFA delegation how Australia has come together “As One” to provide a platform for grassroots and professional players.

At the heart of junior football, the two Football NSW member clubs took to Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre to share their passion, energy and love for football with the FIFA delegates.

Participants played small sided games, highlighted their football skills and discussed with the FIFA delegates what it would mean to them to have the tournament here in Australia.

FIFA will award the hosting rights for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in June 2020.
