Levi Wheeler was an extraordinary boy who died from Diffuse intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in 2018. Levi was eight years old and passed away from an aggressive cancer (brain).

Levi played for Sutherland Sharks and several Football Clubs have contributed to fund raising efforts for “Levi’s Project” which is a Fund-Raising initiative for research into brain cancer.

Club Marconi offered its support to the cause last Saturday with parents, and families donating during matches between Sutherland Sharks and Marconi Stallions in the Boys SAP Program.

It was one year to the day that Levi passed away.

Rocco Arcorace the Head Coach of the Marconi Stallions FC Boys SAP Program and Andrew Smith the Coach of the Sutherland Sharks Under 10 team were on hand for the presentation of a cheque for $2000 towards the required $2.4 million commitment towards DIPG Research.

$1800 was raised on the day, with Club Marconi “topping up.”

Club Marconi would like to thank all those who contributed on Saturday to this important cause.
