2021 FFA Cup NSW Preliminary Round’s 2 and 3 Draw Released

Football NSW has officially announced its 2021 FFA Cup NSW Preliminary Round’s 2 and 3 draw which will see an incredible 122 grassroots clubs enter the fold.

In an official draw conducted at Football NSW Headquarters, the fate of a number of our exciting clubs from various associations across the state as well as our National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s 3 and 4 teams were given their fixtures with the hope of progressing further into the prestigious Cup tournament.

Football NSW’s FFA Cup Coordinator Wade Giovenali was ecstatic with the support the FFA Cup received via its blockbuster entries this year.

“It’s fantastic to see as many as 122 passionate grassroots clubs throw their support in wanting to take part in what is Australia’s elite Cup competition.

“After what was a COVID affected season in 2020, to have 122 teams represent NSW from many of our valued associations is a wonderful response in ensuring that Football is definitely back.

“We want to wish each and every club the best of luck with their FFA Cup journeys as it all starts here.”

As in previous years, entries are compulsory for all senior teams of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s, Men’s 2, Men’s 3 and Men’s 4 competitions excluding Sydney FC NPL Men’s, Northbridge Bulls NPL Men’s, Western Sydney Wanderers NPL 2 Men’s, Central Coast Mariners NPL 2 Men’s and Newcastle Jets’ NPL 4 Men’s teams who are not eligible to participate in the 2021 FFA Cup NSW Preliminary Rounds.

Wollongong Wolves will automatically qualify for the round of the 32 of the FFA after being crowned NPL Finals Series Champions in 2019 while a further four (4) spots have been allocated to Football NSW clubs to progress into the 2021 FFA Cup Round of 32.
