The Stanmore Hawks have officially changed its name to the Inner West Hawks it was confirmed during the Christmas-New Years break.

The Club’s 42-year history has always been nurtured in the Inner West of Sydney where it holds a long-standing relationship with the local community.

The name change pays homage to the role that the Inner West community has played in shaping the Club and to better reflect its connection to areas beyond the suburb of Stanmore.

The Club will continue to operate as a non-profit organisation with no change to the Clubs current structure.

An official launch event to mark the club’s new name will be held on Saturday 16th January 2021 at the club’s home ground, Arlington Oval, where various football games will be played, and a Special Presentation will take place at 12pm.
