The highly anticipated National Indigenous Football Championships will once again take centre stage as the event enters its fifth season commencing on the 4th of November and finishing up on the 6th at the South Nowra Sporting Complex.

The tournament will feature top class competitions boasting All Age Men’s, Women’s as well as Under 14 Boys and Girls teams ready to battle for the right to be crowned the National Indigenous Football Champions for 2021.

The popular Elders Walking Football concept will also take place while the tournament will kick-start with a MiniRoos Schools Clinic run by Football NSW and supported by the Wollongong Wolves, Sydney FC, and ‘Kickin with a Cuz’. The clinic will involve local schools in the area and will be held on Wednesday 3rd November prior to the start of the tournament.

Proud National Indigenous Football Tournament Director Bernie McLeod was eagerly anticipating what the 2021 event had in store.

“I’m really looking forward to yet another fantastic year of Indigenous Football in South Nowra showcasing First Nations people’s abilities at a National level.

“2020 was a tough year for all due to COVID-19 affecting much of the sport so we are really pleased to be able to facilitate this once again.”
