Season 2021 will be a very special year for the Granville Waratah Soccer Football Club playing out at the Granville & District Soccer Football Association who will be celebrating their 120th Anniversary when they kick off round one on Saturday 10th April 2021.

“We are the oldest club in the oldest Association in Australia,” said Club President Noel Dona.

“In fact we are the oldest football club in Western Sydney.

“We know this is a very big honour as there are only a small handful of clubs in Australia who can make such a claim. So we plan to have a wonderful year celebrating our rich glorious history, to help inspire our current members to look proudly into the future.

“We have started the year by promoting ourselves with two great videos which have proven to be very popular and fun to make.

“We are now reaching out to all our former players, life members and even former Socceroos who were Waratah juniors, to contact us with your team photos and memorabilia – the older the better – as we want to tell their stories and relive their memories throughout the year.

“We have a number of special events and surprises planned for the year which will end with a big Anniversary Dinner in September, which I am certain will be a great reunion for the Waratah family.”
