The final round 5 FFA Cup spots were snapped up by Sydney Olympic, Mounties Wanderers and Enfield Rovers as all three teams won their respective round 4 FFA Cup Preliminary matches overnight.

Ray Marshall Reserve played host a to a bloodbath as NPL NSW Men’s side Sydney Olympic smashed 13 past an unfortunate NPL 4 NSW Men’s Western Rage outfit. The Blues showed their intentions on how far they’d like to go in the Cup by fielding their strongest squad available as Mo Adam starred scoring four while Japanese striker Yu Hasegawa notched up a hattrick. Both Fabio Ferreira and Brendan Cholakian scored doubles while Hagi Gligor and Jason Madonis also got in on the goal scoring act. The victory saw Ante Juric’s men book a date with Sutherland Shire FA outfit Menai Hawks in round 5.

It was a lot tighter at Cook Park as Mounties Wanderers progressed to the next stages of the Cup defeating NPL 3 NSW Men’s side Gladesville Ryde Magic 2-1. Goals to Mark Moric and Rhys Osmond booked their ticket in their round 5 clash against what will be a very strong Football St George outfit in the Banksia Tigers.

Finally at Peakhurst Park, Canterbury District Soccer Football Association side Enfield Rovers FC booked its round 5 spot against NPL NSW Men’s top tier side Manly United thanks to a 3-0 win over Football St George outfit Lugarno FC. The visitors scored two goals through Ronaldo Rierio Almedia and Nathan Spinola before Ryan Henderson added the icing on the cake pushing the club to a famous tie against Adam Griffiths’ side next week.
