FFA Cup Round 5 Update: Huge wins for Blacktown City, Manly United and Rockdale Ilinden

The theme of Wednesday’s Round 5 FFA Cup Football NSW Preliminary round matches were goals as an incredible total of 27 were scored in just four matches as Blacktown City, Manly United, Rockdale Ilinden and Hakoah FC all booked their tickets to the next round of the prestigious knockout competition.

Lily Homes Stadium played host to a massacre as Blacktown City destroyed their Northern Suburbs FA counterparts UTS FC 10-0. Goals to Lachlan Campbell, Grant Lynch and Jak O’Brien while Carlos De Oliveira and Suleyman Bangura scored braces and Charles Mendy kept his prolific recent goalscoring momentum intact with a hattrick as Mark Crittenden’s men ran riot.

Rockdale Ilinden proved too strong for NPL 4 NSW Men’s outfit Prospect United running out 7-1 victors at the Ilinden Sports Centre. A hattrick to Alec Urosevski while a brace to Michael Neill and goals to Bai Antoniou and James Temelkovski saw Steve Zoric’s men advance to the next stages of the Cup.

Valentine Sports Park saw Manly United smash Canterbury District Soccer FA side Enfield Rovers 7-0. Adam Griffiths’ men showed no mercy as double strikes from Dom Ferguson and Richie Cardozo and goals to Alen Aganovic, Ben Gibson and Jack Fulton put the top tier NPL NSW Men’s club into round 6 of the Cup competition.

While finally at Hensley Athletic Field, NPL 2 NSW Men’s side Hakoah FC defeated NPL 4 NSW Men’s side Parramatta FC 2-0. Second half goals to Zac Sapsford and Bruno Mendes assured the club a coveted Round 6 spot.

One match will take place tonight as St George FC face Randwick City FC at the Ilinden Sports Centre at 8pm with the remaining seven round 5 matches are set to be played next Wednesday 5th of May.
