Southern Districts Soccer Football Association side AC United will be getting into the Football NSW Female Football Week spirit as they host a special day honouring the women’s game on Thursday the 20th of May at Powhatan Reserve, Greenfield Park.
The club will be celebrating its success with female football as over 130 female footballers at the club will be treated to a great evening of fun, football and excitement.
Matildas and Melbourne City star Teigan Allen will be on hand to greet the young female football stars while the club will be conducting its Academy Training Program as well as meeting NPL 2 NSW Women’s Senior and Reserve Grade stars from the SD Raiders.
Lucky door prizes and giveaways will be on hand as well as a world-famous sausage sizzle.
“Female Football Week is a fantastic time of year for our club to recognise and honour all the wonderful aspects of the game from playing and to our dedicated committee, coaches, managers and all volunteers and the key roles females have played within these areas,” said AC United Committee Member Giovanna Romeo.
