Do you have what it takes to become a Non-Executive Football NSW Director?

Football NSW are on the look out to fill two (2) positions for Australia’s largest state sporting organisation to contribute to the strategy and direction for the next generation of football participants.

Brief

Football NSW is the governing body for football (soccer) in New South Wales. It is the largest state sporting organisation in Australia with over 250,000 participants and 700 clubs under its remit.

The Board meets ten times per year in their head office in Glenwood in north-west Sydney. In person attendance is expected at Board meetings. Outside of the Board meetings there are several events and presentations that Directors are expected to attend.

A passion and connection with Football will be essential. Across two appointments we are looking to advance the following Board skills:

  • Financial – Qualified Accountant CA, CPA or equivalent;
  • Strategy/strategic thinking and entrepreneurial approach;
  • Awareness/experience of a high-profile sporting administration;
  • Experience playing Football at a state or national level will be highly regarded;
  • Previous Board experience will be highly regarded.

You will be joining an experienced Board with members who have a passion for Football and are constantly striving to progress the organisation.
