FFA Cup Round of 32 Announced: Blacktown City and Sydney Olympic snag A-League opponents

The 2021 FFA Cup Round of 32 Draw took place on Thursday evening as Sydney Olympic were drawn to face Sydney FC, Blacktown City won the right to host the Central Coast Mariners, APIA Leichhardt won a trip to Nijong Oval to face ACT NPL side Cooma Tigers while an all NPL NSW Men’s battle was set to take shape at Popondetta Park as the Mt Druitt Town Rangers drew the Wollongong Wolves.

Both Blacktown City and Sydney Olympic were set to fly the NPL NSW flag against quality A-League opposition with the pair snagging some of the big boys involved in the draw.

It will be the first time Olympic will face the Sky Blues in an FFA Cup competition while for Blacktown City, Lily Homes Stadium was rocking in 2017 when Mark Crittenden’s troops knocked the Mariners out in a thrilling 3-2 win in the Round of 32.

APIA will be making the trek down South in what will be freezing conditions as they face a youthful Cooma Tigers FC in an interesting encounter while it will be Stewart Montgomery v Luke Wilkshire as the Rangers reacquaint themselves once again with known NPL NSW Men’s rivals Wollongong Wolves.
