Rebates on offer as Southern Districts Soccer FA set for monumental year
Southern Districts Soccer Football Association (SDSFA) is making a big investment in player retention, with rebates on offer for over 10,000 players.
The SDSFA – one of the oldest football associations in the country – proudly caters for footballers of all ages, abilities and genders and having seen significant growth in recent years, the Association is committed to making it as easy and affordable as possible for their 2021 members to return in 2022.
The rebates come on top of refunds already provided to players following the disruption to the 2021 season and will help to ensure that affordability is not an issue for players looking to get back into healthy, social footballing activity this summer.
The rebates are available to all returning players and can be claimed even if they play with a different club within the SDSFA in 2022.
With 35 clubs competing in SDSFA competitions and delivering exceptional programs for new and experienced players, footballers in Sydney’s south are certainly spoilt for choice.
One area of undoubted growth within the Association has been in the number of women playing the game.
To ensure that more girls and continue to play the game, the SDSFA will continue it’s long-held tradition of providing clubs rebates for teams they field in the non-competitive girls age-groups, those being under-6, under-8 and under-10.
With rebates of up to $100 per team that is registered, coupled with the New South Wales Government’s Active Kids Voucher – registration costs are kept to an absolute minimum for girls in these age groups looking to play the game.
The SDSFA is beginning to bear the fruits of this investment in women’s football, with 2021 delivering the highest number of under-12 teams and players ever recorded in SDSFA history.
With a FIFA Women’s World Cup on the horizon, that is a record that is sure to be broken in coming seasons.
With competitions run for players as young as five, right up to over-35s and potentially even over-45s, there really is a competition and team for you whether you’re a boy or girl or five-years-old of 45-years-old.
The SDSFA also runs a number of programs for the talented players within its ranks, offering further developmental opportunities for players who are serious about progressing their football ability.
The SD Mini-Raiders program is a pre-Skills Acquisition Program initiative that offers younger players between five and eight-years-old the chance to take part in two training sessions a week as well as 25+ matches over the course of the season.
From there, players can progress to the SD Raiders Football Club, which offers Skill Acquisition Programs and progression into the club’s National Premier Leagues program.
The SDSFA is also a proud partner of A-Leagues Men outfit, Macarthur Bulls.
