Macarthur Football Association side Eschol Park FC held its second successive Girls Football Clinic in conjunction with the local association and Football NSW at the Eschol Park Sports Complex.

Labelled a “try before you buy” session, the Girls Football Clinic was open to all returning and prospective players at Eschol Park FC.

Club female coaches also had the opportunity to take various sessions, putting together skills drills and small sided matches alongside Eschol Park FC’s M-League footballers who acted as fantastic role models for the younger stars on the day.

Football NSW and Macarthur FA representatives provided the participants with Matildas posters with many of the excited girls dreaming of one day becoming fully fledged Australian internationals and ambassadors of our beautiful game.

Macarthur Football Association’s Community Football Manager Kevin Guardado Amaya was delighted with how the day unfolded promoting all things female football.

“The day was a success with various groups from the Under 5’s to Under 9’s, Under 10’s to Under 12’s, Under 13’s to Under 17’s and All Age Women all coming in at different times to play fun games and be introduced to the beautiful game.

“There were kids that had never played the game before across all the above groups, which helps the club grow their female football program and create more chances for girls to play in its All Girls Teams across all ages.

“As well as a great female football program for players, Eschol Park FC have a great female coaching program with nearly 45 female coaches and assistant coaches across various age groups for the 2022 season.”
