One of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s leading referees Michael Weiner is set to embark on a major milestone as he prepares to officiate his 100th top tier match this Sunday.

Currently in his 27th season officiating, the Ku-ring-gai & District Football Referees Association (KDFRA) Referees member will take charge of the round 3 NPL NSW Men’s clash between Sydney United 58 and Mt Druitt Town Rangers at the Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday to bring up his tally to 100 games in the top tier competition.

Having started out as a referee in 1996 with KDFRA, Weiner continued to play football for ten years before turning his sole attention to refereeing.

He then joined the State League Referees panel in 2010 and officiated his first ever NPL NSW Men’s match in the final round of the competition in 2012.

Football NSW would like to congratulate Michael on achieving such a major milestone, well done!
