It’s going to be a massive week for eight Football NSW clubs as Round 7 of the Australia Cup NSW Preliminary round takes centre stage next week.

Each team will be vying for one of the four allocated Round of the 32 Australia Cup spots as well as a place in this year’s Waratah Cup semi-finals with four quality matches set to heat up the knockout competition.

In a first for Football NSW in its Australia Cup history, there will be five League One clubs representing in next week’s Round 7 fixtures with two NPL NSW Men’s sides and 1 local association club hailing from the Football South Coast namely Wollongong United fighting for victory.

The Cup madness kick’s off on Tuesday 14th of June when a massive League One affair takes shape as the Bonnyrigg White Eagles entertain Hakoah Sydney City East at the Bonnyrigg Sports Centre.

Wednesday 15th of June will feature two games with League One side Northern Tigers hoping home ground advantage at one of the coldest venues in NSW, North Turramurra Recreation Field could well put off well known NPL NSW Men’s side Sydney United 58.

Should the Tigers win it will be their first ever Round of 32 Cup appearance.

While the other clash will pit League One club St George City hosting this year’s Cup giantkillers and the last remaining Association side Wollongong United at Penshurst Park.

Wollongong United could create history on Wednesday as if they pass the St George test they will become the first ever Association from NSW ever to take part in the Round of 32 of the Australia Cup.

It will be a different record for St George City though as if they prove too strong, it will be the first time in their club’s history that they’ll be taking part in the Round of 32 Cup competition.

Finally on Thursday 16th of June, League One side NWS Spirit FC will also hope that its home advantage at Christie Park could spark an upset against another NPL NSW Men’s club Wollongong Wolves.

Should David Perkovic’s men win, it will be the club’s first ever Round of 32 honour.
