The 2022 Waratah Cup Semi-Finals have been announced following the conclusion of the Australia Cup Preliminary Rounds on Thursday evening as the official draw took place at Football NSW Headquarters today.

The official draw was completed as the historic NSW Cup, which was last won by the Marconi Stallions in 2019 with a 2-1 victory over Sydney United 58 at Lily Homes Stadium, is dominated by League One Men’s club’s Bonnyrigg White Eagles and NWS Spirit FC with NPL NSW Men’s giants Sydney United 58 in the mix along with this year’s success story, Football South Coast Association side Wollongong United.

The Cup took a break in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID, but has been reintroduced with four teams going head-to-head in a bid to win this year’s first piece of silverware in NSW.

The highlighted match will of course be two historic clubs as the Bonnyrigg White Eagles meet Sydney United 58 for the first time in Cup history while NWS Spirit will take on Wollongong United in the other semi-final encounter.

Football NSW will announce the dates and times in due course so keep a look out on our social media channels and website.

Football NSW would like to acknowledge Deploy Football, the official ball sponsors of the Waratah Cup.
