Bertenshaw and Geraghty honoured at NSW Community Sports Awards
It was a memorable evening for Hawkesbury City’s Living Legend David Bertenshaw and Northern Tigers’ rising young coach Fin Geraghty who both received prestigious awards at this year’s 2022 NSW Community Sports Awards held at CommBank Stadium on Thursday 30th of June.
Bertenshaw, who lives and breathes Hawkesbury City and has given his all for the sport as a coach, administrator, and volunteer for well over 30 years, was honoured with a special ‘Distinguished Long Service Award’.
While Fin Geraghty took out the ‘Young Coach of the Year’ award in what was a strong pool of nominees following his achievements with the Northern Tigers and XLR8 Player Development program.
Football NSW would like to congratulate the two gentlemen on representing the code at this year’s awards.
