The next generation of officials will be leading the charge at this Saturday’s 2022 NPL NSW Men’s Grand Final at CommBank Stadium after Football NSW announced the panel for both the first grade and 20’s age groups.

The main match at 6pm between Manly United and Blacktown City will see 26-year-old Hassan Jomaa take control of the match as the main referee accompanied by 25-year-old assistant referees Cameron Wright and Emma Kocbek.

Experienced NPL NSW Men’s referee Michael Weiner will be the fourth official.

In the 20’s clash between Sydney FC and Mt Druitt Town Rangers (kicking off at 2:30pm), 20-year-old Logan Jones will be responsible for calling the match with assistant Referees Jackson Mackie and Eric Saba. Brodie Merchant will be the fourth official.

“Congratulations to all match officials selected for this Saturday’s 2022 NPL NSW Men’s Grand Final at CommBank Stadium. It’s great to see some rising youngsters promoted to officiate what will be a huge day for the sport.”

It’s a testament to the FNSW Referees Academy and the education and development it provides to match officials to see so many graduates go on to further their refereeing careers. Football NSW Referee Department appreciates the ongoing support of the NSW State League Football Referees branch in the development of these referees.”

“Best of luck to everyone involved as I am sure they will do a fantastic job, “said Football NSW Referee and Development Manager Nieuwenhuis.
