SD Raiders Futsal keeper Ryan Baldi was fantastic throughout the contest and showed it with a triple save on Samuel Fernandez to keep the score at 0-0.

Looking to respond Matias Toro Suazo cut inside well and shot straight at Raiders Futsal Club custodian Ibrahim Daniel as the game started to heat up.

Simon then made it 3-1 when he was on the end of a fantastic pass from Sebastian Malfara followed by Franco Maya who arrowed home smartly to complete the goal glut.

Needing a response to get back in the game, Raiders Futsal went close twice through Goran Ljuboja through an outside the foot effort then a free-kick blocked away.

Ferreira completed his brace with a nice effort to bring it back to 4-2 which was then followed up by Kodai Hayashi keeping the ball in and firing home for 4-3.

This set the game up for a grandstand finish between these two great clubs. Maya was the hot hand and whistled an effort wide of the mark. Maya did secure the points with a solo effort to make it 5-3 for SD Raiders Futsal.

Speaking post-match SD Raiders Futsal James Letta was happy with his sides work. “It was good for a first hit-out tonight. I’m just glad our boys could pull through. We have a lot of fun and knew we were in for a battle. I hoped we could score one more than the opposition and that happened.” said Letta.

For Raiders Futsal Club’s Slaven Ljuboja was impressed by the spirit shown by his side to come back to 4-3 in the game. “It was a good game.
