Round 2 in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Mens competition gives the sides who lost on the opening weekend a chance for redemption and the winners a springboard to further success.

We have another four fantastic futsal fixtures to play out on Friday and Saturday.

SD Raiders Futsal vs Sydney City Eagles, Friday 23 September, 7:50pm, Penrith Valley Regional SC

SD Raiders Futsal host Sydney City Eagles in an exciting clash at Penrith Valley Regional SC under the Friday night lights.

These two sides were winners in the first weekend of the Futsal Premier League 2. SD Raiders Futsal were in full flow on the pitch. Both Franco Maya and Matias Toro Suazo were in much of the action and will terrorise defences across the league.

Sydney City Eagles also showed off their fantastic futsal in their 6-5 win against South Coast Taipans at home. Judah Cleur was the star of the show with his hat-trick for the soaring Eagles who will want to make it back-to-back wins.

Raiders Futsal Club vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 24 September, 4:50pm, Thomas Hassell Anglican College

Back at Thomas Hassell Anglican College, Raiders Futsal Club host South Coast Taipans with both teams aiming to get their first win.

Raiders Futsal Club showed great fight to make a comeback against SD Raiders Futsal in their 5-3 loss in our Match of the Round. Samuel Fernandez was a bright spark for the Raiders on the pitch and linked well with Luis Ferreira.

The Taipans hope they will start faster this weekend. They do have some fantastic goal scorers including Matthew Mazevski and Jyden Harb who both found the net last week. They might not have Cody Waller for the fixture due to his red card.

Boomerangs FS vs Sydney Futsal Club, Saturday 24 September, 4:50pm, MPowerdome Futsal Pitch

Looking to get their season kicked off Sydney Futsal Club head to the MPowerdome to face Boomerangs FS on Saturday afternoon.

The Boomerangs had to postpone their game against West City Crusaders last weekend so the home opener will serve as their season debut as well. Coach Nick Van Aalst has built a good squad and they will be a tough team to beat especially at home.

Sydney Futsal Club lost their first game so will be keen to avoid back-to-back defeats to start the FPL2 season. They did show their fight in their 3-2 loss to Phoenix Futsal Club and know they can pick up some points.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs West City Crusaders, Saturday 24 September, 5:20pm, The Centre – Dural

We finish the round with Phoenix Futsal Club taking on West City Crusaders at The Centre in Dural on Saturday afternoon.

Phoenix Futsal Club won their first game of the season last week against Sydney Futsal Club. Jordan Smylie was the star for the side with a pair of goals and the keen marksman will look to add to his total on the weekend.

For West City Crusaders, it will be their first game for the campaign after a postponement last weekend. The side were excited and ready to get going so that extra week will have them primed to come out firing against Phoenix Futsal Club.
