Round 2 in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Womens competition gives the sides who lost on the opening weekend a chance for redemption and the winners a springboard to further success.

We have another four fantastic futsal fixtures to play out on Friday and Saturday.

SD Raiders Futsal vs Sydney City Eagles, Friday 23 September, 6:50pm, Penrith Valley Regional SC

Two sides aiming to get into the winner’s circle face off on Friday night when SD Raiders Futsal take on Sydney City Eagles at Penrith Valley Regional SC.

Sydney City Eagles were gallant in their 4-1 defeat against South Coast Taipans. Melina Manna was their lone goal scorer in the fixture. Now they look to take those lessons and take three points against SD Raiders Futsal.

SD Raiders Futsal showed they have good firepower in their line-up shown by Sarah Mandile and Mikala Tucker getting braces in their defeat to Raiders Futsal. They will build on that and hope to open their account against the Eagles.

Raiders Futsal Club vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 24 September, 3:50pm, Thomas Hassell Anglican College

An intriguing clash is ready to go when Raiders Futsal Club welcome South Coast Taipans to Thomas Hassell Anglican College on Saturday afternoon.

Raiders Futsal Club kicked off their campaign in style with a win against SD Raiders Futsal and youngster Olivia Burke played a key role in the three points. She scored twice and her combination with Nicole Ossio will be key to making it back-to-back.

The Taipans also won their first game and want to start the season with six points from six. One feature of their play was sharing the goals around and if they can do similar against a strong Raiders Futsal side they can keep up their form.

Boomerangs FS vs Sydney Futsal Club, Saturday 24 September, 3:50pm, MPowerdome Futsal Pitch

Sydney Futsal Club will make the trip down to the MPowerdome to face off against Boomerangs FS on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors were able to open their account against Phoenix Futsal on their home turf last weekend and want to make it double delight. Mya Callil and Cynthia Coghlan opened their account in that win and look to add their totals on Saturday.

Boomerangs FS had to postpone their game last weekend but will be keen to get going and pick up three points. Coach Kristin Collins has assembled a good squad and they will challenge for the top four come the seasons end.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs West City Crusaders, Saturday 24 September, 4:20pm, The Centre – Dural

Phoenix Futsal Club host ready to go West City Crusaders at The Centre in Dural for an exciting fixture on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts will be keen to get back on the pitch after their 2-1 loss to Sydney Futsal Club in Round 1 which saw Tessa Morabito on the scoresheet. Phoenix Futsal Club will want to make their home ground a fortress starting with Saturday afternoon.

West City Crusaders will be chomping at the bit to get their FPL2 campaign underway after the postponement last weekend. Coach Neil Ross has a talented squad at his disposal which includes Holly Williams and Grace Chambers.
