Round 6 of the Futsal Premier League Open Men’s competition promises to be a blockbuster edition with four mouthwatering clashes to enjoy. The top four all play each other which might allow those outside to catch up. Let’s get onto the preview!

Dural Warriors vs Mountain Majik, Saturday 15 October, 4:50pm, The Centre – Dural

The weekend kicks off at The Centre – Dural where Mountain Majik take on Dural Warriors in an intriguing game on Saturday afternoon.

Dural Warriors will come into this game off a high after their late 2-2 draw against Eastern Suburbs Hakoah SC which keeps them in striking distance of the top four. Glen Kelshaw was central to their work on Saturday and will be a key factor again at home.

The visitors Mountain Majik sit just above Dural in fifth spot and have a chance to break into the top four themselves. The side will want to improve on their 3-1 defeat against Enfield All Stars where Adam Nisbet scored and he will want to repeat the dose on Saturday.

Campbelltown City Quake vs Mascot Vipers, Saturday 15 October, 5:30pm, Minto Indoor Sports Centre

Campbelltown City Quake host Mascot Vipers in an important game for both clubs at Minto Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday afternoon.

The Quake are sat rock bottom of the FPL Open Men’s competition but hope to add to the sole point they have in the bank already. They will look to goal scorer from last week Jett Mccue-Shore to help them move up the ladder.

For the Vipers, they will want to find the sting in their attack against a side around them on the FPL Open Mens ladder. Thomas Quilligan has been a shining light for Mascot with eight goals thus far including a hat-trick last weekend.

Inner West Futsal Club vs Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC, Saturday 15 October, 5:50pm, Valentine Sports Park Futsal Pitch

There is another top four clash at Valentine Sports Park where Inner West FC host Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC on Saturday afternoon.

Inner West Futsal Club were in a clinical mood in their 6-3 win over Mascot Vipers in their away clash last weekend and sit in third spot. Daniel Fornito scored a brace in the huge win and will want to add to his three goals for the season.

Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC will be disappointed to draw in their 2-2 game against Dural Warriors but it makes it three games unbeaten for the side. Wellington Oliveira starred for the side with a goal and involved in much of the attack and be vital on Saturday again.

Enfield All Stars vs UTS Northside, Saturday 15 October, 6:50pm, Morris Iemma Indoor SC

We finish the weekend with a top of the table clash between Enfield All Stars and UTS Northside at Morris Iemma Indoor SC.

The All Stars got back in the winner’s circle with a 3-1 win against Mountain Majik last weekend to keep up in second spot. Michael Kouta fired home in the win to add on to his hat-trick from the opening game of the season and the attacker will aim for further goals on Saturday.

UTS Northside were in fine form in their 5-1 demolition Campbelltown City Quake and deserve their spot at the top of the FPL Open Men’s ladder. Their attack starts from custodian Dylan Niski who helped them build up from the back and open up the space against Enfield.
