Round 11 marks the start of the final lap of the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Men’s competition as teams look to make their run for the top four. We have four important games to take in over the weekend so let’s get onto the review!

SD Raiders Futsal vs Sydney Futsal Club, Saturday 19 November, 4:10pm, Fairfield Youth & Community Centre

Leaders SD Raiders Futsal kick off the weekend with their game against Sydney Futsal Club at Fairfield Youth and Community Centre on Saturday.

SD Raiders Futsal found their groove again in their 4-2 win over Phoenix Futsal Club in last weekend’s Match of the Round. The trio of Simon Nicholas, Jordan Figon and Sebastian Malfara has found the back of the net for fun and will be a tough unit to stop.

For Sydney Futsal Club, it is about playing spoiler for the last month of the FPL2 Open Men’s season and have their say on the top four. Luca Feijo was their lone goal scorer last weekend and aim to find the back of the net once again.

West City Crusaders vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 19 November, 4:50pm, PCYC Hawkesbury

In a busy week for West City Crusaders, they host South Coats Taipans at PCYC Hawkesbury on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders have their Round 10 game against Raiders Futsal Club on Wednesday, this contest then a catch-up game against Boomerangs FS on Sunday. Coach Joe Perri will have to manage his squad well to maximise their chances.

South Coast Taipans plundered eight goals in their huge win over Sydney Futsal Club and look prime to continue their form and start making their move. Matthew Mazevski scored five of them and will be the danger man for the visitors.

Boomerangs FS vs Raiders Futsal Club, Saturday 19 November, 4:50pm, MPowerdome

High flying Boomerangs FS take on Raiders Futsal Club in an important game at MPowerdome on Saturday afternoon.

The MPowerdome has been a fortress for Boomerangs FS this season. They have only lost once at the venue to South Coast Taipans, so they’ll be keen to add another scalp when Raiders Futsal Club visit the high-powered offensive unit.

Raiders Futsal Club play twice this week and could help to cement their spot in the top four of the FPL2 Open Mens competition. Coach and Captain Slaven Ljuboja is a big influence on the side and leads from the front.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs Sydney City Eagles, Saturday 19 November, 6:10pm, The Centre – Dural

We finish off the weekend with Phoenix Futsal Club welcoming Sydney City Eagles to The Centre – Dural on Saturday night.

Phoenix Futsal Club showed in the first half, they can trouble the top sides in the FPL2 Open Men’s competition when they led SD Raiders Futsal 2-0 at the break. Connor Metcalfe was key in their work and can find the back of the net on Saturday.

For Sydney City Eagles, they will want to take back their perch at the top of the ladder after their 6-2 loss to Boomerangs FS down in Canberra. Robert Perre was one of the Eagles to find the back of the net and helps to steer the team around.
