Round 11 in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition starts it’s descent into the final few weeks of the competition with spots still up for grabs. We have four games to enjoy across Saturday afternoon which will help to shake out the top four. Let’s get onto the preview!

SD Raiders Futsal vs Sydney Futsal Club, Saturday 19 November, 3:10pm, Fairfield Youth & Community Centre

The weekend starts with SD Raiders Futsal hosting Sydney Futsal Club at Fairfield Youth and Community Centre on Saturday afternoon.

SD Raiders Futsal have suffered back-to-back losses which has dropped them to sixth spot on the FPL2 Open Women’s ladder headed into the last stretch. Jessica Neville has been a quiet achiever for the side and had a goal in their 4-1 loss last week and aim to find the back of the net again.

This is a big game for Sydney Futsal Club. They are only four points outside the top four and still remain within striking distance of a finals appearance. The visitors will need Tiarne Schuman and Annalise Schiraldi on form if they are to take three points.

West City Crusaders vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 19 November, 3:50pm, PCYC Hawkesbury

Fifth place West City Crusaders face off against second place South Coast Taipans at PCYC Hawkesbury on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders will want to get back in the winner’s circle after their 5-2 loss to Raiders Futsal Club away from home last Saturday. Back at home, they face a tough task against the Taipans but do have a dynamic duo in Holly Williams and Holly Pender to hopefully take the points.

South Coast Taipans inched past Sydney Futsal Club in their 2-1 win at home and showed some grit which Coach Bobby Mazevski hopes will serve them well later in the season. They are also close to securing their spot in the top two.

Boomerangs FS vs Raiders Futsal Club, Saturday 19 November, 3:50pm, MPowerdome

Boomerangs FS welcome Raiders Futsal Club down to the MPowerdome for a big clash on Saturday afternoon.

The leaders can solidify their position at the top of the FPL2 Open Women’s ladder with a pair of games this weekend against Raiders Futsal Club and West City Crusaders. They have scored goals for fun and look to add to that in their trip to town.

Raiders Futsal Club come into this game off a 5-2 win over West City Crusaders which has them in fourth spot on the ladder. Nicole Ossio has been a star performer for the team this year and backed it up with a hat-trick last weekend.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs Sydney City Eagles, Saturday 19 November, 5:10pm, The Centre – Dural

Rounding off the weekend is Phoenix Futsal Club facing off against Sydney City Eagles at The Centre – Dural on Saturday night.

Phoenix Futsal Club rose to the occasion in their last game, beating SD Raiders Futsal 4-1 to move within two points away from getting away from eighth spot. Kate Mateffy helped to pull the strings in the win and look to do the same on Saturday.

Sydney City Eagles will look to bounce back after their loss to leaders Boomerangs FS down in Canberra last Saturday afternoon. They will rely on Melina Manna and keeper Isabella Sollecito to help them take home three points.
