Round 12 in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Mens competition is looking like another intriguing weekend of futsal. We have four fantastic games to enjoy across Saturday and Sunday as it enters the business end of the season.

Let’s get onto the preview!

West City Crusaders vs SD Raiders Futsal, Saturday 26 November, 4:50pm, PCYC Hawkesbury

West City Crusaders continue their home stand against SD Raiders Futsal at PCYC Hawkesbury on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders ride into this game off a high after their 5-2 comeback win over South Coast Taipans last weekend. Kurt Elborough was one of their key contributors in the result and look for a similar performance on Saturday.

SD Raiders Futsal were ruthless in their crushing win over Sydney Futsal Club and showed off how potent their attack can be when they click. Martin Fernandez had four goals in the win and will aim to add further to his tally in Windsor.

Raiders Futsal Club vs Phoenix Futsal Club, Saturday 26 November, 4:50pm, Thomas Hassell Anglican College

Leaders Raiders Futsal Club welcome Phoenix Futsal Club to Thomas Hassell Anglican College on Saturday afternoon.

Raiders Futsal Club had a busy week and it has helped them to the summit of the FPL2 Open Mens competition in the final stretch. Adam Voloder has been a consistent performer for the hosts and might be key to them taking three points.

It is all about pride for Phoenix Futsal Club to round out the 2022 season as they won’t feature in the top four plans in the FPL2 finals. Cody Peluso has been in fine form the last fortnight for the visitors and should feature on the score sheet.

South Coast Taipans vs Boomerangs FS, Saturday 26 November, 7:40pm, UOW Sports Hub

Rounding off Saturday is a clash between South Coast Taipans and Boomerangs FS at UOW Sports Hub in chase of a finals spot.

South Coast Taipans will be glad to be back home after their disappointing 5-2 loss to West City Crusaders away from home. The Taipans have made UOW Sports Hub a fortress and can edge closer to the top four if they take the points.

For Boomerangs FS, they currently hold the last spot in the top four despite their 4-1 loss to Raiders Futsal Club at home. They did rebound to win 4-2 at PCYC Hawkesbury helped by a Benjamin Basser-Silk double and look to get some room on the chasing pack.

Sydney Futsal Club vs Sydney City Eagles, Sunday 27 November, 5:20pm, NC of Indigenous Excellence

We have some Sunday futsal to enjoy when Sydney Futsal Club host Sydney City Eagles at NC of Indigenous Excellence.

The hosts will look to finish off their season on a high with two of their last three games being played at home. Sydney Futsal Club have shown in sections they can compete against anyone and will need that against one of the top teams in the FPL2 Open Mens competition.

For Sydney City Eagles, they were 6-4 winners against Phoenix Futsal Club which has them alone in second spot on the ladder. The dynamic duo of Peter Pelekanos and Patrick Antelmi have been clinical for the Eagles and look to add to their tally again.
