Round 13 in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition is the penultimate weekend of the competition with spots in the top four still up for grabs. We have four intriguing games to enjoy across Saturday and should help to determine the final four. Let’s get onto the preview!

SD Raiders Futsal vs Boomerangs FS, Saturday 3 December, 3:10pm, Fairfield Youth and Community Centre

Premiers Boomerangs FS head to Fairfield Youth and Community Centre to take on SD Raiders Futsal on Saturday afternoon.

SD Raiders Futsal were part of a pulsating 4-4 draw against West City Crusaders which keeps them alive for the top four headed into the final two weeks. Ashlie Crofts found the back of the net again and she will aim to add further to her tally at home.

Boomerangs FS have wrapped up the first trophy of the season and look to get themselves ready for the upcoming finals series. They will want to keep their watertight defence locked up and try to avoid double digit goals conceded this season.

Sydney City Eagles vs West City Crusaders, Saturday 3 December, 4:10pm, Thomas Hassell Anglican College

Third place Sydney City Eagles take on finals chasing West City Crusaders at Thomas Hassell Anglican College on Saturday afternoon.

Sydney City Eagles have been the comeback queens in recent weeks with three come from behind wins which has them on the doorstep of the finals. Alyssa Zuvela has been a solid performer for the side alongside Emma Voloder.

Sydney Futsal Club vs Raiders Futsal Club, Saturday 3 December, 4:20pm, NC of Indigenous Excellence

It is a big game for Sydney Futsal Club who host Raiders Futsal Club at NC of Indigenous Excellence on Saturday afternoon.

They might have fallen to defeat late but Sydney Futsal Club were right in the contest in their 2-1 loss to Sydney City Eagles on Sunday afternoon. Tiarne Schuman and Annalise Schiraldi were their two best against the Eagles and look to produce a similar performance this week.

It was a goal fest for Raiders Futsal Club in their 8-3 win against Phoenix Futsal Club which saw Gemma Morgan fire home a hat-trick. Her work alongside Erin Tavares and Nicole Ossio has been vital to their success this season.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 3 December, 5:10pm, The Centre – Dural

We finish the weekend with Phoenix Futsal Club hosting South Coast Taipans at The Centre – Dural on Saturday night.

Phoenix Futsal Club finish the season with a pair of home games which gives them a chance to finish off a disappointing FPL2 Open Women’s season on a high. Mia Duncan found the back of the net in their loss last week and look to repeat that dose on Saturday.

The Taipans are locked into second spot in the competition and will want to bounce back after their 2-1 loss to Boomerangs FS on at home. Coach Bobby Mazevski will have them prepared to go from the opening whistle and add three more points.
