With finals places all but sorted, the race for Futsal Premier League Open Women’s premiership takes centre stage as we review round 13 of the competition.

Leading the way are Mascot Vipers who sit two points ahead of Eastern Suburbs Hakoah. While UTS Northside and Dural Warriors could switch places going into the final round.

UTS Northside Futsal Club 2–0 Enfield Allstars

Three wins on the spin, UTS Northside are showing they are ready for finals ahead of a fixture with Eastern Suburbs Hakoah next weekend.

Having secured their finals spot last time out, the hosts made it three victories in a row courtesy of two goals midway through the second half.

Enfield Allstars will be pleased with another hard-fought outing against a top four opposition. They’ll take positives from this one going into next week.

After a scoreless first half, the hosts hit the accelerator after the break in regards to the tempo of which the game was played. And as such, they found their rewards midway through second half proceedings. Natasha Rainbird kickstarting a memorable day for the family with a goal to break the deadlock.

Before you guessed it, Daisy Arrowsmith popped up with her weekly goal to double the advantage. Arrowsmith now with 16 goals in her 13 appearances this season.

Enfield Allstars host Mascot Vipers next weekend, while UTS Northside have a finals preview with Eastern Suburbs Hakoah.

Mascot Vipers 1-0 Campbelltown City Quake Futsal Club

Mascot Vipers ended Campbelltown City Quakes hopes of finals with a narrow victory, Saturday afternoon.

Holding onto first position with the result, there is every chance that the Vipers finish with the best defensive record in the competition as well as they picked up their third clean sheet of the season. All while Mikayla Duong continued her scoring run at the other end.

They had to maintain concentration throughout though against a Campbelltown City Quake side who had a lot of possession in the contest.

However, the decisive moment came late in the match with the result not helping Quake. The visitors activating a powerplay which ultimately cost them at the other end. Mikayla Duong scoring from her own half to claim her 8th goal of the season.

Quake finish their season against Mountain Majik next weekend, while Mascot Vipers still need a win over Enfield Allstars to finish top.

Mountain Majik Futsal Club 4-5 Dural Warriors

An understrength Dural Warriors prevailed in a high scoring thriller with Mountain Majik in Sydney’s North-West.

With only four first team players, the Warriors had a heavy reliance on youth in this one and they just did enough for the victory in a high scoring affair.

While for Mountain Majik, they were once again impressive scoring four goals for the fourth time this season. They hung tight with their visitors but were unable to draw level.

The first period saw five goals scored before the break, Kayla Osborn, Samantha Nagy and Rachel Perrins all scoring in the first fifteen minutes for Warriors.

And the Majik finding the net through Avaani Prakash and Tiana Botha to bring the halftime score to 3-2 in favour of the visitors.

A lead that they just couldn’t draw level from with the Warriors scoring twice in the second half followed by a Majik response in quick fashion. Emma Hurley and Rachel Perrins who scored a brace scoring the further two Warriors goals. While Breanna Mccormack and Angelique Lynch added to the host’s tally.

Dural Warriors take on Inner West next weekend while Mountain Majik travel south to face Campbelltown City Quake.

Eastern Suburbs Hakoah 9-1 Inner West Futsal Club

The Tamires Souza show! Eastern Suburbs Hakoah were in hot scoring form putting nine past Inner West, Saturday evening.

Yeah in one of the more impressive individual performances of the season, Souza claimed the first six of her teams nine goals before her teammates joined in later on.

Inner West on the other hand look like ending their season on a whimper, three losses on the spin they brought the score back to 2-1 midway through the first half but they couldn’t keep pace with Souza and co.

Souza opened her account just before ten minutes before going on to seal her hat-trick inside fourteen minutes. A hat-trick which was doubled in the second half as the hosts stepped on the accelerator with ten minutes remaining with a further six goals coming after that point. Caitlin Campbell, Zoe Anderson and Doris Osman also finding the net.

Inner West face another top four opposition in Dural Warriors next week while Eastern Suburbs Hakoah have an intriguing clash with UTS Northside.
