2023 Australia Cup Entries Now Open
The 2023 Australia Cup Club applications to participate in the NSW Preliminary rounds have officially opened for Australia’s most prestigious knockout competition.
In what will be a massive year for the knockout Cup competition, Football NSW is formally inviting teams from the Football Family to participate in the Preliminary Rounds with a chance to progress to the 2023 Australia Cup Final Rounds.
As in previous years, entries are compulsory for all senior teams of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s, Football NSW League One Men’s and Football NSW League Two Men’s.
Football Australia has confirmed that Football NSW will have four (4) spots allocated to progress into the 2023 Australia Cup Round of 32.
Football NSW’s Competitions Coordinator Wade Giovenali was looking forward to seeing Grassroots clubs from across NSW realise their dreams in participating in Australia’s most prestigious Cup knockout competition.
“We had an amazing Australia Cup run last year that saw Sydney United 58 become the first ever NPL team in history to make the final.
“Football South Coast Association side Wollongong United also created history by becoming the first grassroots club in Australia to make the Round of 32.
“We are hoping to see more fairytale stories created in this year’s instalment.”
As in previous years, a formal Draw will take place to announce the opening round of Cup matches with dates on this to be announced in due course.
Association clubs have until 12pm, Friday 17th February to get their entries in so don’t wait till the last minute get involved today.

- Round 3 – Tuesday, 21 March / Wednesday, 22 March / Thursday, 23 March 2023
- Round 4 – Tuesday, 11 April / Wednesday, 12 April / Thursday, 13 April 2023
- Round 5 – Tuesday, 25 April / Wednesday, 26 April / Thursday, 27 April 2023
- Round 6 – Tuesday, 9 May / Wednesday, 10 May / Thursday, 11 May 2023
- Round 7 – Tuesday, 23 May / Wednesday, 24 May / Thursday, 25 May 2023

NOTE: Sydney FC’s NPL NSW Men’s, Bulls FC Academy NPL NSW Men’s, Western Sydney Wanderers NPL NSW Men’s, Central Coast Mariners NPL NSW Men’s and Newcastle Jets’ FNSW League Two Men’s teams are not eligible to participate in the 2023 Australia Cup NSW Preliminary Rounds.
