Football NSW recently hosted its first Community Coach Development Workshop for 2023 at Valentine Sports Park in what was an opportunity to promote and push the latest updates and events to various Associations across the state.

Football NSW’s Head of Football Edward Ferguson opened the workshop presenting the vision and delivery objectives for 2023 while Hayley Todd, Head of Women’s & Schools Football, provided an update on the NSW Football Legacy Plan. Hayley also advised the group of a new opportunity for Associations to partner with Football NSW in rolling out the Youth Female Coach Development Program in 2023. The program aims to attract, upskill, and provide paid coaching opportunities for up to 100 female coaches this season.

This was then followed up by three presentations from Macarthur FA’s Kevin Guardada Amaya, Northern Suburbs FA’s Chris Adams and Manly Warringah FA’s Eugene Lawrenz who shared their views and teachings as well as its methodology to its members.

Football NSW Technical Director Warren Grieve then gave his insights as well as discussed alignment across all Associations ensuring coaches from throughout the state gained the highest quality experiences and material as possible for the upcoming year.

“This was a fantastic opportunity to provide the latest information on what’s happening in the Community Coaching space, legacy updates plus unique presentations from the Northern Suburbs, Macarthur and Manly Warringah Football Associations.” said Football NSW Coach, Education & Development Manager Bronwyn Kiceec.
