Manly and Hills set to host Female Only Referee Courses

Females wishing to take up officiating in both the Manly Warringah Football Association and Hills Football will have an opportunity to partake in courses in early March.

Manly Warringah Football Referees Association

Manly Warringah Football Referees Association will be hosting its female only course on Saturday 11th of March at the Curl Curl Sport Main Hall. The course will be conducted with some of MWFRA’s best female referees such as Rebecca Mackie from the A-League Women’s panel and Football NSW Academy referees Mia Velarde and Jazz Hill.

The course is open to females wanting to referee in the MWFRA District.

MWFRA is also looking for female referees to officiate in the MWFA Women’s World Cup, a competition designed for women under 8’s and women under 11’s teams to compete in their own battle for the World Cup trophy. Girls aged 14-16 will be required to undertake the female only referees’ course in early March, with costs covered by the MWFA. For more details about this please refer to the link https://www.mwfa.com.au/2023/01/01/year-of-the-womens-world-cup/

Hills Football Referees

Hills Football will also be running a female only course on the 12th of March at its offices in Bella Vista, free of charge for any females wanting to referee football within Hills. The course will be run by leading HFI female referees; Alana Zic and Gabriella Arcidiacono.
