A-League Men’s Grand Final honours for Brad Wright and Kearney Robinson
Football NSW referees Brad Wright and Kearney Robinson are set to officiate at this Saturday’s 2022-23 A-League Men’s Grand Final between Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners at CommBank Stadium.
At 26, Brad Wright, who came through the Macarthur District Football Referees Association has been appointed as the fifth official while 31-year-old Kearney Robinson, a former North West Sydney Football Referees Association member, will be the assistant VAR 2.
Both are also part of the NSW State League Football Referees Association.
The pair will be supporting referee Chris Beath in what will be a huge Grand Final spectacle.
Football Australia Head of Referees Nathan Magill said these appointments are warranted following outstanding performances by all named officials throughout the 2022-23 A-League Men’s season.
“Saturday’s A-League Men’s Grand Final is not just the pinnacle event in the domestic match calendar for players and coaches but for officials, where those appointed have been our most consistent performers throughout the season and are thoroughly deserving of this recognition.
“Football Australia along with the Referees Committee would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire match officials panel for their upmost professionalism and unwavering commitment throughout the 2022-23 season, where the panel proceeded over an exciting A-League Men’s regular season and Finals Series,” concluded Magill.
