Mount Druitt Town Rangers earned their place in the round of 32 of the Australia Cup with a 3-0 win against Northbridge FC at Popondetta Park on Tuesday night.

Kataro Katsuta got the hosts off to a fantastic start reacting fastest inside the box to nod home the opener inside the first 10 minutes.

Northbridge’s task got a lot harder just before the half-hour mark when Emilio Manos received his marching orders following a poorly-timed tackle.

After the red card, Jackson Bandiera buried a phenomenal solo effort from outside the box to give Mount Druitt a two-goal lead at halftime.

Jacob Esposito added a third in the 67th minute to round out what turned into a comfortable scoreline in the end for Stewart Montgomery’s team.

In addition to a place in the national round of the Australia Cup, the Rangers will face APIA Leichhardt in the semi-finals of the Waratah Cup.
