In a massive coup for the League One Women’s competition, current high-flyers UNSW FC have secured the services of Sydney FC and capped Matildas star Princess Ibini-Isei for the remainder of the season.

Ibini-Isei has joined UNSW FC on loan from A-League Women’s Champions Sydney FC and is expected to make her debut for the club in their round 14 clash against Sutherland Shire FA at Harrie Dening Centre this Sunday (3pm).

“Ibini-Isei is an exceptional attacker with a wealth of footballing experience and is a role model across the country to young players passionate about football,” the club stated in its official statement on their key signing.

“At UNSW FC, Ibini-Isei will have access to top-class training facilities, professional coaches and administrators, and world-leading research in sport and exercise science and nutrition from academics at the prestigious University of New South Wales, Sydney.

“UNSW FC welcomes Ibini-Isei to the Village Green and heralds our shared values of gender equality in football as we passionately action Football Australia and Football NSW’s initiatives to drive equality in football.

“The Senior squads, Girls and Boys Youth League Programs, coaches, administrators and UNSW FC stakeholders and Sponsors are most excited to see Ibini-Isei running out in the Qube yellow and black jerseys at the Village Green, UNSW.”
