12-year-old Robyn Orr was one of the lucky participants to be selected to represent Berowra Football Club, as a flag bearer on the 7th of August.

“I’m very excited to represent Berowra Football Club at the Women’s World Cup. It will be a great opportunity to get to walk out onto the field with so many Football superstars.”

“With the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 firmly on the horizon, we have a great opportunity to continue to grow female participation in NSW, and the flag bearer opportunity is a brilliant way to inspire and create memorable experiences for participants”, said Football NSW’s Program Manager – Club development Trevor Huxley.

Game Changer is the new Club Development Program & is funded through Legacy ‘23 (Pillar 1 – Participation) and is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).

Football NSW’s role is to act as a resource, to support clubs with problem solving and to discuss problems all clubs are facing, across facilities, volunteerism, and Women & Girls participation just to name a few. Football NSW wants to encourage and foster positive conversations, to share best practice and to collaborate across all levels of football, with Game Changer as the vehicle to drive positive change.

With the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup firmly on the horizon, now is the opportune time to ready our football/futsal clubs in NSW, to build capacity & invest in strategic planning as the FIFA Womens World Cup will inspire the next generation of fans, players & administrators.
