Football NSW recently hosted its first of several successful regional Coaching Expo sessions at Ison Park in Nowra on Monday.

Twenty-five coaches attended the Expo while 20 players from the TSP Regional Girls Program were involved in the session.

Led by Young Matildas Coach Leah Blayney and assisted by Football NSW Regional Development Manager Andrew Fearnley, the Expo was a combination of a Presentation with the Session Design and then a Practical Demonstration of the Session.

The focus for the session was challenging individual players in a team session.

“I was great to see such a terrific turnout in attendance as part of our overall regional football plan to bring advanced coaching sessions to the regional areas,” said Fearnley.

“This enabled coaches to gain from a high level session that they can implement into their teams and challenge themselves in their own personal coach development.”

The next Coaching Expo’s for the regional areas are set for Dubbo and Bathurst and will be held in mid-July.
