All four Football NSW representatives have secured progress into the next round of this year’s Australia Cup, following Inter Lions’ win over Hellenic Athletic on Thursday evening.

This marks the best result for Football NSW clubs since 2017, when five clubs qualified for the Round of 16.

League One Men’s side Inter Lions continued their fairytale cup with a 6-0 win in Darwin.

An early brace from Owen Duke was followed by goals from Oliver Green and Sam Armson to put the game beyond reach at half time.

Green scored his second shortly before the hour mark before Thomas Quilligan converted from the penalty spot to complete the scoring.

Current NPL NSW Men’s competition leaders APIA Leichhardt progressed to the Round of 16 on Wednesday after defeating Goulburn Valley Suns 4-1 at John McEwan Reserve in Shepparton.

A Jack Stewart penalty gave APIA a one-goal lead at the break, before a Jason Romero brace extended the lead heading into the closing stages.

The home side pulled back a goal but Stewart scored his second in the 88th minute to extinguish any hopes of a late comeback.

Mount Druitt Town Rangers and Sydney United 58 both secured wins last Friday against Canberra Croatia and Broadmeadow Magic respectively.

Rangers, the only Football NSW club to be drawn at home in the Round of 32, took a first half lead thanks to an impressive strike from Solomon-John Monahan-Vaiika.

The visitors then equalised just before the hour mark, but a brace from Anthony Frangie in the 76th and 81st minutes was enough to secure the win.

Sydney United 58 came out on top in a six-goal thriller against Northern NSW side Broadmeadow Magic.

Goals from Patrick Antelmi and Adrian Vlastelica were met with equalisers from the home side to leave the score a 2-all at half time.

Devante Clut scored the decisive go-ahead goal for his side in the 54th minute, with Alessandro Lacalandra picking up goal in the final minutes of stoppage time.
