We have hit the halfway mark in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Mens competition and everything is still up for grabs headed into the weekend. There are three games to enjoy across the weekend to help set the tone for the rest of the season.

Let’s get onto the preview.

Raiders Futsal Club vs SD Raiders Futsal, Saturday 28 October, 4:30pm, Thomas Hassell Anglican College

Raiders Futsal Club face off against SD Raiders Futsal at Thomas Hassell Anglican College on Saturday afternoon.

They will want to bounce back after their 9-2 loss to South Coast Taipans down at Illawarra Hockey Centre last weekend.

Raiders Futsal Club are in equal fourth despite the result and still on track to defend their Championship from last season.

The hosts will look towards to two of their top targets in Christopher Godoy Bascur and Tomas Medimurac to be on target.

SD Raiders Futsal featured in the Match of the Round last weekend and won 8-5 against West City Crusaders.

It was another strong performance from Franco Maya who notched four goals and will be keen to find the back of the net again on Saturday.

They also had a fantastic performance from custodian Ryan Baldi and the shotstopper will be busy again in this contest.

South Coast Taipans vs Sydney City Eagles, Saturday 28 October, 5:10pm, Illawarra Hockey Centre

South Coast Taipans welcome Sydney City Eagles to Illawarra Hockey Centre for their game on Saturday night.

The Taipans are first in the FPL2 Open Mens competition after their 9-2 win against Raiders Futsal Club last weekend.

The hosts take a four-game win streak into this game and will be confident in extending their lead at the top of the competition.

They have found scoring across the whole pitch including some big goals from Giovanni Panuccio who will be keen to add to his tally.

Sydney City Eagles were involved in a pulsating 4-4 draw against Sydney Futsal Club at home last weekend.

It is a busy week for the Eagles who play their catch-up game against Phoenix Futsal Club on Tuesday night at Billbergia Indoor Sports Centre.

They will hope to rediscover their scoring touch after being wasteful in front of goal in their draw against Sydney Futsal Club.

Sydney Futsal Club vs APIA FC Futsal, Saturday 28 October, 5:15pm, NC of Indigenous Excellence

Sydney Futsal Club hosts APIA FC Futsal in their game at the NC if Indigenous Excellence on Saturday night.

The hosts come into this game after picking up a point in their 4-4 draw against Sydney City Eagles last weekend.

Sydney Futsal Club have picked up four points in the last fortnight and a win on Saturday could boost their finals hopes.

They will look to Adin Scalone who scored twice in the draw last weekend to lead them forward against a potent APIA FC Futsal side.

APIA FC Futsal look to bounce back after their 5-2 loss against Phoenix Futsal Club at Valentine Sports Park last Saturday night.

They did get some reinforcements highlighted by Robbie Maiorana and Mark Symington alongside others to help them in the second half of the season.

The visitors have plenty of firepower in the game led by Welkson Souza Bispo who will want to add to his tally for the season.

West City Crusaders vs Phoenix Futsal Club has been deferred to November 7th
