Return of Coaching Conference a success
The 2023 Football New South Wales Coaching Conference was held at Valentine Sports Park on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November. The two-day event, hosted by well-known football personality Stephanie Brantz, saw keynote presentations given by international and domestic special guests, with a raft of experience across all levels of the game.
With over 600 attendees across the weekend, the Conference was a rousing success after a four-year hiatus.
Amongst the many highlights during the weekend were presentations and panel sessions from such luminaries as former national team players, coaches and FIFA and UEFA delegates including Tony Franken, Leah Blayney, Miles Downie, Ivan Jolic, Greig Patterson, Professor Cliff Mallett, Cameron Tradell, and Lili Bai to name a few.
Coaches had the opportunity to sculpt their own learning journey through a series of theory and practical break-out sessions allowing them to choose topics most relevant to their specific interests, ranging from:
- Goalkeeping
- Leadership
- Player Development
- Women’s Football
- Strength & Conditioning
- Futsal
- Management
Full attendance at each day earned participants 25 points per day towards FA/AFC licence reaccreditation as per the AFC Coaching Convention.
