SD Raiders Futsal vs Raiders Futsal Club, Saturday 9 December, 2:30pm, Thomas Hassall Anglican College

SD Raiders Futsal face off against Raiders Futsal Club at Thomas Hassall Anglican College on Saturday afternoon.

It was a tough weekend for SD Raiders Futsal who lost their two games against Taipans and Crusaders in tough fashion.

Those results meant that SD Raiders Futsal finals hopes were extinguished, and they will play for pride on Saturday.

They will be without custodian Caitlin Britton who has been a solid performer this season after her red card.

Raiders Futsal Club battled hard in both their games but lost their games against Eagles and champions Taipans.

Last time these two sides faced off, Raiders Futsal Club lost 4-3 and they hope to get some revenge in the return fixture.

Despite their losses, Raiders Futsal Club keeper Jasmine Crouch put in a good shift with some key saves against two strong attacks.

Phoenix Futsal Club vs West City Crusaders, Saturday 9 December, 4:20pm, The Centre – Dural

Phoenix Futsal Club hosts West City Crusaders in their game at The Centre – Dural on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts had one game in the double header weekend which saw them lose 9-3 to Sydney Futsal Club at NC of Indigenous Excellence.

It has been a tough year for Phoenix Futsal Club, but they hope to end it in a positive fashion on their home pitch.

West City Crusaders had a mixed weekend with a loss to APIA FC Futsal then producing an upset against SD Raiders Futsal on Sunday.

The Crusaders won this game back in Round 7 and hope to end the season on a high and get their third win of the season.

Paris Vinuya has emerged as a goalscoring threat for the Crusaders with her ten goals for the 2023 campaign.

APIA FC Futsal vs Sydney Futsal Club, Saturday 9 December, 4:50pm, Valentine Sports Park

APIA FC Futsal take on Sydney Futsal Club in their game down at Valentine Sports Park on Saturday afternoon.

They will be refreshed after winning their only game in the double header weekend beating Crusaders 4-1 on Saturday.

The hosts are locked in the top four and this game might be a preview to the clash between these two teams next weekend.

APIA FC Futsal were beaten in the first game between the two in Round 7 and will want to avenge the defeat.

Sydney Futsal Club had an up and down weekend. They beat Phoenix Futsal Club before losing to Sydney City Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors have been one of the top contenders in the FPL2 Open Womens competition and want to head into the finals on a positive result.

They will look towards both Annalise Schiraldi and Abbey Harrison to lead the way in this contest against APIA FC Futsal.

Sydney City Eagles vs South Coast Taipans, Saturday 9 December, 5:10pm, Morris Iemma Indoor SC

Rounding off the regular season is Sydney City Eagles against South Coast Taipans at Morris Iemma Indoor SC.

The Eagles soared to a pair of wins in the double header weekend against Sydney Futsal Club and Raiders Futsal Club.

They showed in their win over Sydney Futsal Club that the Eagles will be a tough challenge for the other teams in the finals.

Alessia Perre was on the scoresheet in both games last weekend and she will want to add to her six goals for the season.

South Coast Taipans won their ninth game in a row and got their hands on the FPL2 Open Womens title last weekend.

The Taipans will want to warm up for the finals with another solid performance and avoid any potential injuries on Saturday.

They will look to the two Brontes in Trew and Pyke to lead the attack in the game and find the back of the net.
