Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s Grand Final Preview

South Coast Taipans take on APIA FC Futsal to see who will be crowned Champions of in the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Women’s competition tomorrow in what will be a massive clash between two quality outfits.

Open Women’s: South Coast Taipans vs APIA FC Futsal, 3pm, Sydney Olympic Park Halls

South Coast Taipans face off against APIA FC Futsal in the Grand Final at Sydney Olympic Park Halls on Sunday afternoon.

They were made to work for the Grand Final appearance in a 5-3 win against Sydney City Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

Much like the Men’s side, the women are looking to add one final achievement to what has been a memorable season.

Jordan Baker is a threat from anywhere on the pitch and her rocket shot will look to fire into the back of the net again.

Taipans custodians Caitlin Russell and Poppy Johnson have been the unsung heroes of the success this season with their work between the sticks.

APIA FC Futsal started off strongly and were never headed in their 5-3 win against Sydney Futsal Club in their semi-final.

There won’t be any fear from the APIA FC Futsal side headed into this game as they try to upset the apple cart and take home some silverware.

They will look towards the twin threat up top to lead them to the win. Lauren Featherstone and Taiana Almeida Silva both have noses for goal.

Helping their case is the fact APIA FC Futsal are one of two teams to beat South Coast Taipans this FPL2 Open Women’s season.
