2024 Sapphire Cup Club Entries Now Open
Club entries to be part of the 2024 Sapphire Cup have opened as the state’s senior women’s knockout competition looks set to grow following a memorable 2023 campaign.
In what was a massive year for the women’s game following the hosting of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, the inaugural Sapphire Cup was well received by all teams and players who participated.
65 teams competed in 2023 with that number set to be broken in 2024.
APIA Leichhardt FC took out the 2023 Sapphire Cup defeating the Northern Tigers at Leichhardt Oval and are looking towards defending its crown this year.
Clubs from the National Premier Leagues NSW Women’s and Football NSW League One competitions are invited to participate, as are senior association women’s teams from across the state.
Round 1 of the Sapphire Cup has been set for Wednesday, 10th of April while the Final has been announced for Wednesday 17th of July.
