Futsal Schools Championships (Glenwood Region) Results
Valentine Sports Park recently hosted a successful 2024 Glenwood Regional Football NSW Futsal Schools Championships in February.
Students were lucky enough to experience how the professionals play Futsal, on an international size pitch which has previously hosted National and International fixtures.
“All the feedback that we received from the parents and teachers was how much they enjoyed playing on the bigger pitch,” said Football NSW’s Futsal and Social Football Coordinator Sasha Chilas.
“Most kids are used to playing in a confined space, so it was good to be able to provide that opportunity for players to express themselves on the pitch.
“Having hosted a Futsal Schools tournament at Valentine Sports Park, we definitely faced some challenges. However, once all the nerves were settled, and the ball got rolling, players were back to enjoying that wonderful game that we call Futsal.
“We look forward to seeing who else will qualify for our State Championships in September through our alternate regions.”

*All winners have qualified for the 2024 State Championships which will be held in September.
